Celebrate RamaNavami in Style……a Tablescape with Delicacies

Having lived outside for a long time has brought in a new design style in me….that which is an infusion of east and the west. I am now in India and have the opportunity to celebrate all the festivals. I am keen on mixing the design elements from the west with the east. As a child, Ramanavami has always been my favourite festival for 2 things…one because it is normally the onset of our school summer holidays and two because of the 3 main delicacies. For those of you who are not aware, Ramanavami marks the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu. This is one of the important Hindu festivals. Buttermilk, Lemonade (Panaka in kannada), a fruit salad with melon and banana (mostly seasonal) and a fresh salad with cucumber, moong dhal and grated coconut is made on this day.

I created this tablescape and celebrate Ramanavami in Style with me.
